Anomalocaris

Working on my sketchbook—about 1/4 full now! Most pages are just random sketches, but it feels good to see it grow.
I’ve been studying ancient creatures like Anomalocaris, a shrimp/lobster-like animal from the Cambrian period. Its digestive system is so weird! Shrimp, in general, have such bizarre anatomy: transparent hearts, parasite-like sperm sacs, the infamous shrimp vein (actually the gut), shrimp roe (hepatopancreas), and the bladder near the mouth… kinda gross but fascinating.
I also watched chefs teaching how to cut shrimp and couldn’t help but wonder—what would Anomalocaris taste like? What if we had a time machine to go back and eat ancient creatures? A story idea just popped into my head: messing with the timeline by eating ancient animals! Sounds hilarious, right? Let’s see where this idea goes!

(And no, I’m not a foodie… just hungry, )
